DRY HANDS

DRY HANDS

Dry Hands are most common in winter when the humidity level outside drops; hence the water in your skin evaporates quickly, which leads to Dry Hands.
In winter, no matter how much you put an effort to keep your body warm by wearing warm clothes, your hands cannot escape from winter’s cruel grasp. One of the organs that cools most quickly in winter is the hand, and this hand is responsible for all the work we do. Lack of moisturizer makes your hands dry and rough. So how can we take care of our hands in winter to avoid getting Dry Hands?

Hand Care Routine

  • There is only one way to keep your hand soft is by applying moisturizer. After washing your hands, apply a few drops of moisturizer. Before going to bed, apply a nourishing cream, massage the cream in your palm, fingers, and wrist to elbow.

  • Avoid washing your hands frequently. When doing specific work, which involves touching public items or dirty items, in that case, it requires frequent washing even before having food. Still, it does not mean to wash your hand after a few intervals, where there is a scope for your hand to clean it with tissue then use tissue other than washing. Washing your hands every time removes the moisture and makes it dry.

  • If needed, you can also use hand sanitizer to avoid using an alcohol-based sanitizer because they can make your hand drier. There are many alcohol-free sanitizers on the market. You can use them.

  • To wash your hand, you can also use glycerine or cream-based wash. It can protect your hands from getting dry and rough.

  • Before going to bed, other than using moisturizer, you can also use olive oil to massage your hand.

  • Before taking a bath, massage your hand with oil. Use that body oil that suits your skin. You can use sesame oil, olive oil, almond oil. Only a few drops would be enough for your hand.

  • If your hand gets too dry, you can go for a hot oil massage.

  • Take two tablespoons of gram flour, add some milk or some yogurt, and half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Apply this mixture in your hand before taking a bath; when the mixture dries up, wash it with lukewarm water.

  • To get rid of dry hands, you can make a mixture having two teaspoons of sunflower oil, two teaspoons of lemon juice, and three teaspoons of sugar. Massage this mixture in your hands for a minute.

  • You can also make a mixture using glycerine and rose water; this mixture will keep your hands soft.
