Nowadays, Medical Fitness Certificate is an important medical certificate issued by any government or private organization, be it for admission, joining, or even for child adaption.
 
Medical Fitness Certificate is required because it shows your total medical record, mentioning that you are not physically disabled or don’t have any internal disability. 
 
It generally takes an hour to get a Medical Fitness Certificate after a thorough physical examination by a registered medical practitioner.
In most cases, Medical Fitness Certificate delivered from any private hospital or any private doctor is not accepted in the Government organization.
Government Organization generally ratifies Medical Fitness Certificate given by government health center/government hospital or government hospital linked with that organization. In the case of a Central government organization, Medical Fitness Certificate should be given by a Central Government Health Service (CGHS) Doctor.
In case of joining in a job or for sick leave in Private firms, Medical Fitness Certificate is issued by given by hospitals (it can be private or government), which are referred by them.
 

Doctor who can give a Medical Certificate

A doctor having a ‘state registration number’ can issue a medical certificate for sickness or just a physical fitness certificate in normal cases.
For Disability certificate, only a specialist doctor can issue a certificate. For example, an Ophthalmologist from a Government hospital for disability can issue a certificate regarding vision. An ENT (ear nose throat) specialist from a government hospital can issue a hearing disability certificate.
In some cases, even a registered homoeopathy doctor of a government hospital can issue a Medical Fitness Certificate.
Medical Fitness Certificate generally issued after going through body examination, including eye test, height, weight, blood pressure, and body parts checking.
